How do you know whether a human brain understands something?

I don't have elaborate needs and have used Charles for many years. A few years ago I switched to https://proxyman.com and found it easier to use.

An unspoken inference from when you've made posts like this is that HN has largely only changed in terms of scale, that the overall community culture has been relatively static. What are the indicators that would catch your attention to indicate a cultural shift, whether they are improving the site or diminishing it?

idk why people just don't do reverse DNS lookup, check if "dialup" is part of the hostname, and allowlist that traffic. Everbody who doesn't have reverse dns hostname coming from an ISP should be blocked or at least tarpitted by default.

Easily solves 99% of the web scraping problems.

This just makes me yearn for a UI-centric minimal compilation mode for Godot. It's such an enticing target for GPU-rendered UI, and there are even some excellent libraries and plugins out there for making components that are useful in engineering or data analysis!
