I legally couldn't verify because persona doesn't detect aadhaar card and their support system on twitter/mail whatever was incredibly bad so much so that it felt like copy-paste and I still haven't gotten the card. I have written about my experience too.

Spinning it up is not the problem. You want to spend the time to throughly test it (or have your agent swarm test it) so you don’t waste the opportunity of having HN input?
I would hope a founder wouldn’t waste time on home-brewing their own web form when there are tons of off the shelf ones that all have no discernible difference.
It would be like writing your own email servers or calendar software. It would be a distraction at best.
I am 17, I wasn't really a roblox player aside from playing with one of my friends once or twice[0] (more of a minecraft enthusiast) but I know or can tell there are sizable amount of people online who have only played roblox, some even started because of it under age of 16 and learnt to code because of it.
My point is, many people around me or online really really love roblox and they even start to code because of it. I mean it makes sense, Coding something translates to something directly cool. I wanted to make Minecraft plugins too but I always found java to be a bit distressing so I used to search how to make minecraft mods in python or lua when I was 15 or something, I personally never really got into roblox though (I maybe the exception rather than norm) but I suppose lua/luau makes that process a bit easier and so its gonna be a big hurdle to most youngsters who wish to code.
Also I am not fine with Age verification as well but oh well, I could've maybe understood it but what I don't understand is how a billion dollar company needs a few dollars for moderation. I feel like its just a net negative and is gonna create backlash and rightfully so in some sense.
Anecdotally one of my friends back in 10th grade (so 14-15 year olds) actually learnt lua just to make a roblox game or games in general and he was an artist, (one of the most artistic people I know) like firstly his drawings were some of the most amazing in our friend-group and he had made some quite significant amount of money by doing blender for roblox devs and he just said that he likes blender so he gets them to buy blender plugins rather than money itself. He really wanted to get into gamedev.
And I think once again my main point is that, there would be less people interested in game-dev overall. I mean we all start somewhere and I find the idea of taking subscription money a little dis-tasteful for Roblox to do.
Read the article, I find it a bit fascinating how the article was written even more than 5 years before I was even born!, yet nothing has changed, maybe only gotten worse especially for windows.
Also now most things happen on phone which make programming notoriously harder.
I think Linux might be interesting here, most Linux distros come with python , I have recommended it to some friends and one of them uses it but yeah, ironically the problem with Linux in my generation to many people feels like they will miss their games. The state of gaming in Linux is now for the most part really good though but still, I sort of understand this statement and I feel like Linux just feels alien. I mean when I downloaded Linux, I didn't know too much about the command line and it felt foreign until it feels at home.

This might be the end of Roblox. I hope more roblox's alternative spring up preferably open-source. There is luanti which is a minecraft alternative but I suppose a lot of games can have overlap to luanti and it runs on lua too.

I just can't help but notice that this war was completely option for USA and also Israel's influence on war and US. The war was completely optional and unnecessary, The strait was already open until the war was started by USA and Israel.

True, All as in everything. I think Anthropic is extremely silly for thinking that and maybe even a bit delusional.
But to take the devil sides here, maybe some might be a better accurate term as to be honest, Status pages are a mission critical. Imagine this page landed 404 and the panic then vs now. Also I can be wrong, I usually am but status page innovation is more devops oriented than software itself. Basically how do you keep the status page website as having the best status time of itself (imagine it goes down) and its needed 24x7 as outage can happen anytime.
I do feel like status pages are more the exception than the norm in how mission critical they can be, again I can be wrong. Also you can self host status page easily yourself if you wish (UptimeKuma is awesome!) on a 7$/yr vps and there are so many free options available out there and its very much a competitive space to be in and basically no lock-in for the most part.
Agree with your statement overall but to be honest, status pages are the only SaaS which might make sense. For example, some hosting providers themselves who sell VPS etc. won't run their own website in their VPS and I asked one of the providers why and they mentioned because if they do and the servers go down, their website would 404 too, so they host on other infra in a sense for better redundancy.
Isn't there a thought here that you don't host your status page on your infra itself, and if for example they are using hetzner etc. and hosting their own vibe coded one, then they might need an engineer so might as well have Saas whose whole job is this.
I could've maybe recommended one of those status software[0] which actually runs on github actions but github themselves seem to have some downtime :p

Can I just say that out of all of this discourse happening, this might be the most insightful yet succint position to explain my stance on all of this especially the "its all social context." line.
I feel like many of us here might share an answer publicly but I have always believed that if I am in the shoes of someone else, I might act the way they do so in a sense I understand the human part of it. A human did the violence and why. I understand that. Now we can call this violence inhuman, sure, but this action is still done by human and for many reasons. And I also understand why people condemn these actions, we wish to live in a clean and structural world and then we see the messiness of the world.
I just feel like just condemning an action would do nothing unless we change the ground conditions but that isn't in the hands of even many of us Hackernews users and this is basically a class aspect to it.
