Same in russian - Velikaya Pyatnica, Great Friday.

Converting the same image with bpgenc yields 19092 bytes. Probably not transmission errors tolerant though.

In that case, compressing to bpgenc and then interlacing some error correction to get to a similar size would probably yield far more fault tolerance

been a fan of this format for years. it has nice lossless compression, too

I designed and built quality (high-brightness, high-CRI) ceiling light. Not very profitable, but it was very fun and refresing to negotiate with aluminum profile manufacturers, paint shops, etc. And real-world customers, outside of IT echo chamber.

There are three main problems in the "internet of things" field:

1. The lack of consumer grade sensors that can detect human presence and behavior patterns.

2. The lack of robust models and open source software describing patterns of human interaction with environment.

3. Insufficient and incomplete solution to power supply and interconnection problem.

I see any advance in these fields an order of magnitude more important than any new board running [modern language interpreter].

People are not going to make hardware for hospital with that dont worry,it's like 3D printers,it is for hobbists / artists...

I dont think the point is really the "internet of stuffs". Just to fool around or to do installations or prototypes.

I dont like the NodeJS logo ripoff though.

Wow! I thought there's lot more HN-ers in Moscow. I'm one of them, anyway. variomap@gmail.com, Alexander.

I second that. If this is anti-Putin frame-up, he would be the first to investigate election fraud. Actually the opposite is the case, russian authorities repeatedly say that elections were clean and fair.
