"So welcome to the machine"

I'm reading Against The Machine by Paul Kingsnorth, and now reading this blog piece is hard not to make connections with the points of the book: the usage of the tree as a counter-argument for the machine's automation credo exposed in the blog post very much aligns with I've read so far.

Strangely enough, I just finished listening today to this podcast episode on the Cottingley Fairies (it’s a great listen):: https://omny.fm/shows/cautionary-tales-with-tim-harford/phot...

For VSCode-based editors I am a happy user of the "Stage selected ranges" command

> The machine is real. The silicon is real. The DRAM, the L1, the false sharing, the branch predictor flipping a coin—it’s all real. And if you care, you can work with it.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of writing I’ve come across in a while.

Same, The author writes like Dave Barry. I burst out laughing more than once. He was able to articulate with a lot of humor exactly what I think of co-pilot.

You can use radamsa [1] to create mutations for JSON payloads. There's an example using it with ffuf here: https://github.com/ffuf/ffuf?tab=readme-ov-file#using-extern...

Thank you so much! Just finished doing a few test with both of those tools and it looks like they will be very helpful.

10k skater vs 10x developer who are you?

I recommend you installing Samsung Internet browser and using the Adblock Fast software to block ads. This browser has built-in support for blocking ads using the Adblock Fast. And if this not works, most of the time I just use the reading mode to bypass the paywalls and ads.

Too bad Ctrl+F doesn't work.

Hi, I just tried to login in the site via Github, but a popup flashes and nothing happens. I've tried the Feedback tool (https://feedback.indielog.com/post/), but this page gives me a 404. Thank you

Hey, I am really sorry, it sounds terrible!

I just fixed the 404 issue for the feedback tool. For the Github popup, I can see new users signed up via Github with no issue.

May I know what browser are you using? Is the popup blocked by the browser somehow? Thanks!
