This is what i came to comments for.

Unfortunately, we have literally dozens of comments that amount to nothing more than schadenfreude, and another handful of non-FANG employees speculating how one of the largest internet operations in existence could improve their game (lol)

I find it interesting that they want to charge $0.33/hr just for the image. For an equivalent spend on electricity, i could run 3 full size refrigerators per hour (1kw each).

The third movement is a banger. Should sound familiar to anyone who played Earthworm Jim. I believe it also made an appearance in Looney Tunes in one form or another.

This isn't really a whole article, is it? It's an anecdote.

I don't doubt that this is a problem, but this isn't a good look at it.

Yes. Any premise can be created if all that is needed is the argument of "...one writer and podcaster...".

Oh my god, no.

Edited: When i first read your comment, it sounded like you were emploring the president to act against the press. I see that i misread.

Existing replies are great. Also: The wayback link will come from the wayback servers / CDN, providing an easy bypass if the original submission is on an underpowered platform (no cdn, running in someone's basement, geographically distant ISP, etc)

>People choose to work where they work, right?

I chose to work as CEO of Amazon, but Amazon had other ideas.

A choice does not need to be completely unrestrained by logic or reality to be a free choice.

The fact that you cannot choose to be the author of _War and Peace_ does not diminish the freedom you have in choosing to author non sequiturs on the internet.

This is actually a "known bug". It is more specifically called "libre" software, and the idiom "Free as in 'beer' versus Free as in 'speech'" comes up to help illustrate the difference in meaning.

What makes you so sure? Has a study like this ever been attempted?
