This seems very useful to me. I have struggled with a bug that I think is in Nouveau but I haven't reported it because im not sure what information would be required. This at least tells me what the dev requires to understand the issue.

FWIW, I'm on BT and http://promobay.org/ is blocked

Odd. I'm using google DNS, so maybe they're "blocking" it via dns.

I also like browsing the site in classic mode http://news.ycombinator.com/classic for submissions upvoted by long term members

When does a user become 'long term member'?

When classic first launched, it was accounts older than 1 year (http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=607271). It might have changed since then.

From the man page cat doc1 doc2 > doc.all concatenates the files doc1 and doc2 and writes the result to doc.all

I think I'm missing your point. doc[12] aren't changed.

Doc 1 & 2 are not changed but chained together to create doc.all

If the cuffs cannot be reused then costs go up. If costs go up I pay more tax to cover this.

Copyright does not protect the idea for a game, its name or title, or the method or methods for playing it. Nor does copyright protect any idea, system, method, device, or trademark material involved in developing, merchandising, or playing a game. Once a game has been made public, nothing in the copyright law prevents others from developing another game based on similar principles. Copyright protects only the particular manner of an author’s expression in literary, artistic, or musical form.

That's nice and all, but didn't stop Hasbro from taking down Scrabulous: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/technology/2008/07/scrabulou...

And didn't stop the Tetris Company from taking down Mino: http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2012/06/wireduk-tetris-clone/

IMO this is why Zynga's Words With Friends has a different board, different point values and different bonus squares...

"Scrabulous" the name is a pretty obvious ripoff of "Scrabble," so that's not really a great example. However, the Mino case is certainly very interesting.

The Scrabulous case alleged both trademark infringement (the obvious name ripoff) AND copyright infringement (the board and tile design).

I must admit I am quite shocked to see that there is now a new account on HN called Comantra advertising this "service". I am also quite sure that no one that reads this site would fall for this scam.

Edit: spelling and punctuation
