I’m an atheist by the way, I know once you express some position everyone tends to assume you have whatever standard package includes that position. I also don’t think this universalism has been a good thing long term. It united Europeans too quickly and destroyed their various separate identities while replacing it with something that is essentially a blender (in the sharp blades destroying things connotation, not the delicious fruit smoothie creation connotation).

Alcohol can be consumed without intoxication. Nobody smokes to not get high.

I've gone to numerous tasting events where I spit out all of the wine. There may be hundreds of bottles being poured at a trade show and you can't really taste more than a handful if you are swallowing.

Even the New York driver's license, even if it is real, could be muled. More likely it is just a photoshop.

And even if they do show up to the meet, what are you going to do? Call the police? Will they even show up quickly? When they do, whose photo ID will the believe? Seems like a good way to spend a night at the station while the police sort some things out.

As I believe were many southern states at that time, but certainly not because they were at all "liberal", either by the standards of then or now.

Both parties have changed so much since then that it's a weak comparison at best.

I attended the Arkansas Governor's School in '92. The last with Clinton's influence. They had remarkably liberal programs to expose kids to the broader world. After that year the J-freaks took over and eliminated all of that programming to suit their flavor of bigotry but that doesn't erase the people that were and still are there.
