I’m using it for more than a decade and couldn’t use any other browser, all attempts failed. It bases on the ui convenience and out of box features that just work. From the security point of view it’s probably worse than others because china and non-osi, but I don’t really care.
Sorry that I have no detailed list of features or misbehavior of other browsers and/or extensions, but to name a few: gestures that do not suck; tab menu has useful options like duplicate, mute, etc; click on an active tab scrolls up (like iphone); consistent theme; useful right-click menu on pages; extensions that can extend that menu.
It also has few bugs for too long, like thumbnail generation on bookmarks, and once they made a release that just ate 100 cpu and was unable to start. I switched to firefox yet again to get tired of it and get back once they fixed in the next update.
That's some good insight, thanks, I use Firefox but got tempted with the idea of a dedicated VPN for the browser and that maybe was lighter? Maybe I will have a go
