Yes... there was segregation... then things started to normalize, and race didn't matter anymore (atleast not as much). Instead of going further, and making race irrelevant in everything, things turned around, and we gained back new segregation, with PoC only places and events, even graduations ( https://hsdm.harvard.edu/event/harvard-black-and-latinx-grad... ) and "white people need not apply" at taxpayer paid jobs ( https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1452228/bbc-job-advert-ban... ).
