Uncommentable HN post “Flexport is hiring smart people..” on the front page?

There is a post on the front page with the title "Flexport is hiring smart people who want to work hard", but there is no possibility to comment on this - I don't think I've ever seen uncommentable post before, is this some kind of advertizing creeping in on HN?

From the faq:

Can I post a job ad?

Please don't post job ads as submissions to HN.

A regular "Who Is Hiring?" thread appears on the first weekday of each month (or Jan 2). Most job ads are welcome there. Only an account called whoishiring is allowed to submit the thread itself. This prevents a race to post it first.

Another kind of job ad is reserved for YC-funded startups. These appear on the front page, but are not stories: they have no vote arrows, points, or comments. They begin part-way down and fall steadily. Only one is on the front page at a time. The rest are listed at jobs.

It's just a "jobs" advertisement for a YC company, which has been a perk of YC for 15-ish years.

All such YC company job advertisement posts also show up if you click the jobs section at the top of the site.

Off-topic but the wording in that ad struck me as odd.

May as well go with something more direct like "Flexport is hiring big-ego no-lifers".

Job ads for YC companies are common on HN: https://news.ycombinator.com/newsfaq.html#jobads

There was a big thread on the lack of comments a few days ago (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32585801) and several more over the years, see e.g. https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&que...

These have been a thing for as long as I can remember.

Funny I never noticed, thanks for clearing that up.
