One important piece which is missing from this article is the synchronizing effect that music has on groups of people and the effect that group synchronization has on group selection.

I.e. groups that listen to the same music gained a survival advantage over less synchronized groups when competing for resources or in combat.

This could be a line in Alan Parker's "Urban Warrior" bit. Some watchwords strung together, inadequate for the situation they are being posed in.
