Dispatchers get accidental 911 calls from skiers because of iOS crash detection (ksltv.com)

Another Apple innovation --- spam calls to 911 any time you fall down --- or just drop your phone.

In the article, they quote 911 dispatchers who say they like the feature and would rather have mistaken 911 calls than miss a real important crash.

The article also makes it clear that the feature is only being activated on ski slopes, not by people who are "falling down" or "dropping their phone".

Sorry, but your comment doesn't hold up.

Unless they have an infinite supply of dispatchers, flooding the system with spam makes it *more* likely that a real important call will be missed.

Who said anything about flooding the dispatchers? They aren't getting a flood of false 911 alerts. Where do you see that they are?
