i didn't pay any attention to the maths, just the outcome.

but then i tried to do the maths myself and got hella confused.

turns out i was doing "10^1/3" (3.33) in google instead of "10^(1/3)" (1.154).

so, that's lame - i guess gpt got confused about how to handle the exponential algebra.

so it ends up being something like:

  $1,000,000 = $100,000(1+r)^3

  10 = (1+r)^3

  10^(1/3) = (1+r)

  2.154 = 1+r

  1.154 = r

  R = 115%
