I'm hoping that this is confirmation that inertial confinement is a viable path to fusion and that it will herald a surge in investment in the technology.

If it does, those collecting and spending such investments will be equally as fraudulent as the current crop of magnetic confinement outfits.

There is even a second-level scam, collecting money from the first level to build fraudulent demos. It is all perfectly legal.


What is your reasoning for believing that fusion research will not produce a workable power plant?
