“You get what you pay for.” has always been my reaction to Linux issues.

1 - I wonder what OS do you use.

2 - Have you actually tried Linux?

I have. It's still inferior to Windows and it's trying to be a discount version of MacOS. And it's doing a bad job at it.

I don't know about that. I use xmonad on linux and it completely dominates anything windows could ever try to bring to the table.

I hate to admit it but GNOME is legitimately a macOS ripoff. I love it, and it's great, but it's basically trying to be macOS.

Inferior how?

My KDE Plasma setup is nothing like MacOS.

So it would seem you haven't used Linux recently if you consider it inferior to Windows.

I use it everyday. It's beyond inferior. Terminal is still needed for a lot of things that should have a GUI. Gaming support still inferior. Applications that only exist for Windows and/or MacOS. Linux had it's chance on desktop. Especially during Windows 8 trash era. It blew it. It's game over.

I am afraid your comment does not encourage discussion. You can try justifying your assertions. Otherwise we just talking about feelings. I find the open source world gives me hope on humanity, in opposition to the sensation i get from Mucrosoft or Apple. I find learning the command line rewarding, that is the strenght of Linux IMO
