Can we fix the link? Currently pointing at a pay walled archive.org cache. Real link is: https://www.economist.com/by-invitation/2023/04/28/yuval-noa...

And the archive.ph link, for those looking for it: https://archive.ph/UMxJ0

Apologies, first time posting.

Dumb question- how I edit? I don’t see an option to do so.

> operating system of human civilisation

That's a very reductive way to explain a system of billions of people and opposed political regimes. It doesn't even pass the most cursory of smell tests.

> Language is the stuff almost all human culture is made of. Human rights, for example, aren’t inscribed in our DNA. Rather, they are cultural artefacts we created by telling stories and writing laws. Gods aren’t physical realities. Rather, they are cultural artefacts we created by inventing myths and writing scriptures.

All of these things are meaningless as text. It takes human tradition and perspective to understand and realize them, I would argue that replacing every CEO with an AI would be near-unnoticeable to the average citizen. We're already a broken people, AI doesn't exploit that any further than the perverted status quo already does.

> This text has been generated by a human. Or has it?

What does it matter when you write your name at the bottom of the paper?
