When I open that page, it says:

“After a long period with elevated overall European mortality through the COVID-19 pandemic, the European mortality (both totally for the entire population and in all age groups) was by spring 2023 within the expected level”

How do you draw that conclusion from that page?

Scrolling down to “Map of z-scores by country” and moving the slider to week 40 of 2023, it seems the outlier is fully caused by Israel’s data.

Because of that, I think its cause isn’t Covid, but the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Hamas-led_attack_on_Israe...)
