These things are pushed way too recklessly. They aren't miracle drugs. There are costs.

I told my wife as much and she dismissed me because of vanity. After scraping together the money to pay for this crap for a year, now I get to scrape together even more money to have her gall bladder removed.

Predictably: "Nobody warned me."

Which they’d have to take for the rest of their lives.

Or… and hear me out here. They could exercise more and eat less. Gaining permanent improvements in their health and longevity.
