The oddball TLS libraries do not have poorer "code quality" than OpenSSL, though they are not perfect and have received far, far less scrutiny than OpenSSL, so if you have to bet on which is going to have memory corruption, OpenSSL isn't a sure bet.

But my concerns aren't about code quality. They're cryptographic.
